RBGeon visual url sharing application

RBGeon is an url sharing application that visualizes the relations of links. Now the visualization is mainly based on that how the shared urls have been categorized and which users have added same urls into their url collection. In future versions there will be more advanced algorithm for checking which shared urls are related to each other.

Visualization of shared urls

Shared urls are shown as circles and each circle has a picture of either domain icon or a picture of the YouTube video that the shared url is pointing to. The closer the shared url circles are to the middle the stronger the relation between the shared url in the middle and the other shared url is. There are also lines between shared url circles that show that those shared urls are related to each other.

Shared url circles are shown in a sort of map that updates every time you click some other shared url circle than the one in the middle. shared urls can be opened by double clicking the shared url in the middle. You can also double click a shared url that is somewhere else that the middle and the shared url opens and the map updates. Other features at the shared url map are that the shared url map can be scrolled and zoomed.

Browsing shared urls

RBGeon url sharing application allows you to text search shared links and hide links that you have already seen. But the most innovative feature at browsing links is that you can block all urls from a certain domain or all urls that a certain RBGeon user has added to RBGeon. Despite that you will not see any information about the person who has added the urls, to make it clear you won’t see even the username of the person who has added the links and your username isn’t visible for other users of RBGeon. In future versions there might be a feature that allows RBGeon users to form groups to share links only between the members of the group.

Shared urls can also be seen on RBGeons websites "Browse content" tab but it doesn’t visualize the relativeness of urls yet but in the future on that page the url relativeness will be bitterly visualized.

Safety

All url domains that are added to RBGeon url sharing application are scanned by using Virustotal. If Virustotal does not approve a domain, it is not shared between RBGeon users.

All urls that are added to RGBeon are meant to be public so for example Facebook urls are prevented from getting shared because those might contain log in information. Despite that it is not recommended to share any urls that are private because RBGeon is still under development and bugs might occur and at the moment it is difficult to keep track of all domains that might contain log in information at its url.

NSFW

The current NSFW policy is that NSFW domains don’t get shared but in future versions of RBGeon legal NSFW might be allowed but filtered so that by default you don’t see that kind of content.
